Privacy Policy

In order to provide the Services, we collect and process certain information about you. The type of information that we collect depends on how you use our products. You can learn how to access and delete information that we collect by visiting the Settings.

• Information and content you provide. When you create an account you provide profile information such as name, gender, mobile number, date of birth, email and profile picture. When you use our Services you provide content such as status updates, photographs and other data, along with related information like the date of creation, location, device used and app version.
• Actions you take. We record the actions you perform while using our Services, such as likes, shares and comments on content shared by others. Information about you shared by other users is also received and collected by us.
• Public information. Some information you share is public in nature, including your profile information, account creation date and public updates. You are responsible for your public updates, so please think carefully about what you make public, especially if it is sensitive.
• Third-party sign-in. Instead of creating an account directly you may connect and sign up with another service such as Twitter, Google or Facebook. In such cases we receive information from those services, such as your email address or contacts list.
• Messages to us. If you email or contact us, the content of your message, your email address and your other contact information is stored so we can respond to your request.
• Sensitive data. If you provide us with sensitive data such as race, religion, politics, sex life or health, you allow us to collect and process such information. Depending on the laws of your country, you may be entitled to special protection for such data.

Information about your use of our Services. We receive information about the type and substance of content you view or engage with, the features you use, the actions you take, the accounts you interact with, and the frequency and duration of that use. We also receive information about the internal and third-party links you interact with, as well as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring web page, pages visited, location, mobile carrier, device information (including device and application IDs), search terms and cookie information.

Information about transactions made. We do not capture or store any kind of payment information, including your credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code or billing address, in order to make in-app purchases or purchase other offerings provided as part of our Services.

• Device attributes: operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins.
• Device operations: behaviours performed on the device, such as whether a window is foregrounded or backgrounded, or mouse movements (which help distinguish humans from bots).
• Identifiers: unique identifiers, device IDs and other identifiers from games, apps or accounts that you use.
• Device signals: Bluetooth signals, information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons and mobile phone masts.
• Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through settings you turn on, such as GPS location, camera or photos.
• Network and connections: mobile operator or ISP name, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address and connection speed.
• Cookie data: data from cookies stored on your device, including cookie IDs and settings.

Information about you from partners. We work with partners such as advertisers, vendors, service providers and developers whose APIs are integrated with our Services. We require each of these partners to have lawful rights to collect, use and share your data before providing any data to us.

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to recognise your device, remember your preferences, understand how our Services are used and measure the performance of our content and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings, though some features may not work as intended if you disable them.

We may use your personal information so that we can reimburse you with loyalty points for app usage, personalise your experience as per your preferences, save manual typing effort by auto-populating information, and verify your unique user account within our system.

Advertising is a key source of revenue and allows us to provide you the Services and most of its features for free. We may use ad networks to customise and display advertising on our Services. However, we do not share any information about you as a user with any ad network or service provider. We may from time to time work with other companies for services such as analytics or advertising, and you may be subject to their privacy policies as well.

With your consent or at your direction, we share or disclose personal information — for example when you authorise a third-party web client or application to access your account. If you have shared with another user who accesses our Services through a third-party service, that information may be shared with the third-party service.

Subject to the settings controls you have provided us with, we also disclose certain information to third parties to operate our Services. For instance, we disclose to advertisers certain specific information when you see or engage with their ads, which enables them to measure the effectiveness of their advertising. We also share device identifiers, along with the interests or other characteristics of a device or the person using it, to help partners decide whether to serve an ad to that device.

The information we share with these partners does not include your name, email address, phone number or ThinkRight username, but some partnerships allow the information we share to be linked to other personal information if the partner gets your consent first.

Service providers. We engage service providers to perform functions on our behalf, and they may access personal information only to perform those functions. We may also share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with partners such as publishers, advertisers or connected sites — for example to show trends about the general use of our Services.

Our Service includes links to other apps or websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of the Company. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy statements. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any website you visit.

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. We follow accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Personal information you provide is retained until it is no longer necessary to provide our Services or until your account is deleted — whichever comes first. The length of time we retain personally identifiable information depends on the purposes for which we collect and use it and on applicable laws. We keep information collected at ThinkRight for a maximum of 180 days.

Upon deactivation, your ThinkRight account — including your display name, username and public profile — will no longer be viewable on ThinkRight.me. For up to 30 days thereafter you will be entitled to restore your account, and for that period we will retain your personal information. Information that others have shared about you is not part of your account and will not be deleted.

• Access and correction: you can review and update your profile information in the app Settings at any time.
• Object, restrict or withdraw consent: you can manage your privacy settings and other account features in the app at any time.
• Portability: we provide you with a means to download the information you have shared while using our Service.
• Deletion: you can deactivate or delete your account from the app Settings.

We do not direct our Services to children. To use our Services you must be at least 13 years of age, and if you are a resident of the EU you must be at least 16. You must also be old enough to provide a legal and binding consent (as determined by the laws of your country) to the processing of your personal data; in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf.

To provide our Services we operate globally and may transfer your information to countries where we operate for processing. By agreeing to use our Services, you authorise us to make such transfers. The laws governing privacy and data protection in such countries may differ from the laws in your country; we attempt to ensure an adequate level of protection for your information in compliance with the receiving country's data protection laws and by placing contractual obligations on the recipient of the data.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will take appropriate steps to notify you, and we encourage you to review this page periodically for the most up-to-date version.
